Add Loupe to Word
- Download the Loupe add-in manifest.
- In Word on the web, open your document and choose Home → Add-ins → More Settings → Upload My Add-in.
- Choose the downloaded file and press Upload. Open Loupe from the Home tab.
For Windows, Mac or organisation-wide installation, follow the installation instructions. A Microsoft 365 administrator can deploy the same manifest.
Check the document
- Open the Loupe pane and run the check on the document you intend to file.
- Read which checks ran and which could not run.
- Select a finding to move to the cited passage. Open the source and review it before changing your document.
What is sent and what needs an account
The pane reads the open document and sends the text you ask it to check to Loupe. Word’s permission also covers adding comments; it is broader than selecting text. See how Loupe handles documents.
An account gives access to quotations and saved work, free during testing. Sign in with your email. Loupe does not decide whether an authority is still good law or supports your argument.
